Our specific application of the hidden knowledge within the spiritual traditions is gathered from many sources. One example is from Genesis of the bible where breathing and grounding is talked about. The Lord God actually creates the man out of the dust or dirt of the earth. This is the connection of the physical to the ground of the earth. When the Lord God breathes into the body, the diaphragm moves as is seen in mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. This is a demonstration on how to correctly breathe. Esoteric literature has many references to the chakras.  Of course that information is of a widely varing quality. Many works on Yoga show seven main chakras.  What is not well known is a view validated by one system of east indian yoga which has two openings for the chakras on the front and back of the body.  For healing work and a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the energy/chakras and the levels of consciousness this view is very important.  This more powerful model is utilized by The Foundation For Spiritual Emergence. We have observed and experienced that past lives that are very important. A large portion of the world's population embraces the belief in reincarnation or past lives. However it is systematically excluded in West, seemingly because of the left brain, its literal and reductionistic logic charactoristics, dominance. In the past 2000 years, there is a documented history of systematic murder, warfare, and disease within the western world. Biblical Greek Egyptian and Mesopetamian literature extends this history of widespread human suffering back at least another 2500 years.  This long history of Western and Middleeastern civilization has produced a burden of uncompleted/unresolved past lives where the person died holding onto the traumatic circumstances of their death. A very sad part of this is that many advanced spiritual teachers have not dealt with this kind of burden since they do not have it. This makes it difficult for their students to show adequate progress since their teacher lacks experience working with a long history of violence in past lives.
